Wirehaired Vizsla Dogwalk in the Netherlands

I was fortunate enough to visit the Netherlands for a few days in 2005, and what a wonderful trip it was! I didn't do too much sightseeing, as I was more interested in seeing WV & learning more about the breed from my hosts and friends, John and Lies van Essen, home of Quodian's WHV. I got to meet all the families of our dogs, Ishan, Lepke, Barat, Quasar, Pajtas, Betyar & Annie -- many parents and siblings.
Lies organized a dogwalk at Loonse and Drunense Dunes in Kaatsheuvel, a lovely region in Holland. There were many families there with their dogs, as well as several other highly regarded WHV European breeders.

Everyone gathering in the parking area. We hiked across some sand dunes and through woods to arrive at a lovely lake and stream. The park is very beautiful and there are trails specifically for dogs to run off leash, as well as bike trails and horseback trails.

All the dogs, and several people, played in the water.
Then Lies introduced me to everyone & we took pictures.

This was a small dog walk, on short notice, and many people were away on holiday.
Still, there were more WHV than I have ever seen at once!
