Konza Vadasz Wirehaired Vizsla Kennel is located in central Kansas, 12 miles south of Salina and the junction of I-70 and I-135. Our kennel name, Konza Vadasz, combines the Hungarian word for "hunter" -- vadasz, with the name early plains Native Americans called themselves, Konza -- people of the south wind. The name  of our state, Kansas, is a derivation of Konza, which is sometimes spelled "Kanza" or "Konsa."

We use  OFA and PennHIP (Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program) to evaluate hip soundness. We only breed dogs which are certified free of displaysia, as well as having annual clear eye certification from CERFOur dogs are registered in the Canine Health Information Center chic3.bmp

Congratulations to Nancy Edmunds, winner of Best of Breed and Best Bred by Exhibitor with Vizcaya's Wired for Sound CM JH ("Bailey")!!
Vizcaya's Wire Rem Shades CM JH ("Oakley") won 1st Award of Excellence!
We're very proud of Bailey and Oakley, who are brother and sister,
because they were sired by our own Fitzko,

a.k.a. Thorn Hill's Hun
He has proven to produce truly outstanding offspring!

Congratulations to Beth Strickland, owner of the Best of Opposite Sex,
Palownia's Sanibel Sally CM. "Sally" was bred by Stephen & Stephanie Renjiak and is part of our extended family as well;
her dam is Vizland's Lady Lilac, our Tulip's sister.

When we got to the show grounds in Orlando, we discovered Eukanuba's Super Retriever Series Nationals Dock Jumping going on and immediately signed up for competition in the Amateur Division. Betyar had a blast jumping and made it into the Amateur Finals with a jump of 11' 5"!
He bettered that with his second jump in the Finals round, 11' 11"! He ended up ranking 7th out of the 12 National Amateur Finalists.
The crowd loved his performance.
